Dovonte Edwards Summer Sportsfest a Huge Success!
Chapel Hill, NC. This summer, more than 400 people from the local
area had the opportunity to join local sports celebrity and Detroit
Lions CB, Dovonte Edwards, and other sports celebrities in hosting the
inaugural Dovonte Edwards Sportsfest at Chapel Hill High School on
June 27 & 28, 2008.
The Sportsfest consisted of a free football and cheerleading camp,
celebrity basketball game, and a celebrity bowling event. Local kids
were provided with the opportunity to mix, mingle, and learn valuable insights from some NFL players in regards to what it takes to be successful in school, sports and life. Each participant received
excellent instructions from the HS coaching staff and also had the
opportunity to mix it up with Dovonte and some of his NFL friends. |
